Tidy up that desk!

Taxpayers spend 7 millions tidying up desks.

The government has spent 7 million pounds of tax payer's cash to pay selected consultants to advise civil servants at Longbenton, Newcastle on how to keep their desks tidy!

Lengths of sticky tape are being utilized to mark the positions of things like monitors, keyboards, telephones, mouse-mats etc.

Workers at Her Majesty's Customs and Revenue Office, including many from South Shields, will be waiting for the consultants to move on to the next building so that they can make the desktop comfortable and personalised again. You really couldn't make up stories like this!!
