Thursday, January 04, 2007Phil Brown gets the nod at Hull.Shields' man to keep manager's job You can't keep a good man down apparently! South Shields born Phil Brown is to be offered the Hull City manager's job on a permanent basis this Thusrday according to this BBC Sport report The 47 year old has been caretaker manager since the departure of Phil Parkinson last month, and has previously been temporary boss at Bolton Wanderers and manager of Derby County. Phil's playing career as a full back took in such clubs as Hartlepool United, Halifax Town, Bolton Wanderers, and Blackpool. It's always good to see another Sanddancer making his mark, perhaps readers could help supply any further background information on Brown, i.e. which school he went to (I have a feeling that it was Redwell), any local team that he played for etc. |
