School meals
"Rebellion" by older kids
It seems that youths in our secondary schools aren't too happy with the healthier option school dinner service as advocated by the Jamie Olivers of this world! They prefer to leave the confines of the school and spend their money in the nearest take away outlets, and more often than not, leave their litter behind for the rest of us to fall over.
I can't understand this, they probably spend more than the cost of the average school meal and consume something full of saturated fats and other sugars and salts. Besides, I've seen the menus and they are VERY good, I've sniffed around the kitchens and the smell was fabulous, my kids love them!
I've spoken to the biggest kid in town, Cllr. Foreman, and he can't get enough of them!!
