The Ditch Blair Project

Or was it the Blair Ditch Project?

Having made it abundantly clear that he is no longer Blair's man, picture of David Miliband David Miliband is about to embark upon the training that he will need to bolster his career in the post Blair/Brown years.Readers will recall that the Environment Secretary and South Shields MP is to make a short film to be screened at the Labour Party Conference in Manchester.

If you happen to be in the Horsley Hill area of South Shields tomorrow you may stand a chance of being cuaght as an "extra" in The Blair Ditch Project, David will be filmed tidying and cleaning up the garden of a couple of pensioners whilst being trained in the use of a petrol driven strimmer. So far we have not been told why he is using such a carbon emitting device rather than the traditional hand propelled cylinder mower, but that's another issue.

The training is being provided by South Tyneside Groundworks Trust and they will also be training him how to recycle the waste product into a nearby composting scheme. Shortly afterward he will be visiting Harton Primary School to be skilled in the arts of using recycled paper, perhaps he might be taking a few printed pages of his blog along as additional resource.

I'm sure Gordon will be very impressed when he sees the film, perhaps he may see a new role for the blogging minister!
