DC in India.

Cameron connects with the broader issues.

Tony Blair has recently returned from Barbados after a three week break and now the Leader of the Opposition is off to India. David Cameron is on a "working" break connecting with the worlds largest democracy, finding out how their different cultures and religions co-exist, and fostering relations with one of the world's fastest growing economies. He is taking the view that we cannot rely soley on our "special relationship" with America and that there is much wisdom in forging new alliances as the future of the connected planet takes centre stage. His economics spokesman George Osbourne has also visited Japan last week, whilst William Hague and Liam Fox are in China this week, it looks like the Tories are starting to beef up their foreign policy in advance of the next election.

David Cameron is also blogging the plot whilst he is away and refreshingly is doing vlogs (video logs) during the trip, here is his first!

Kind of makes a better effort at being "connected" than David Miliband, eh?
