New law to seize homes

New law to seize homes!

Relatives of the recently deceased in South Tyneside ought to be aware of a new and insiduous law which could see the homes of their relatives being seized by the local council and rented out as social housing.

Inherited homes which are still vacant after six months could be taken by the council using "Empty Dwelling Management Orders" instituted under the 2004 Housing Act which was pushed through by "two pads" Prescott. For many who inherit the property of their loved ones, using or disposing of the property can often take longer than six months, the property needs to cleared and sales often go easier in spring and summer rather than autumn or winter. However this is not good enough for New Labour who have plans to seize your property and install tenants outside of your control. Doubtless you will then be charged with upkeeping the standard of the property.

Ruth Kelly, the government minister in charge of housing policy published the details of the plans yesterday without informing MPs or the media.

Robert Whelan of the Civitas think tank said:

"This runs right against the ancient common law principle of private property, which is as fundamental as habeas corpus. The right to private property is the Englishman’s right to his castle. This looks to me like the point where Labour has overstepped the mark into behaving more like a dictatorship than a democratic government."

This is an indication of the socialist's belief in the redistribution of wealth and rings that other old Marxist bell that states thet all property is theft. Who do they think they are? Robin Hood!

Curly, I should point out to you that 'property is theft' was coined by French socialist anarchist Pierre-Joseph Proudhon.
