Miliband under attack
South Shields MP and Environment Secretary David Miliband writes a joint article today, with Geoff Hoon, in the Guardian pronouncing on the EC's vanguard actions to protect the environment. In the same article he argues that David Cameron is in the grip of right wing extremists who wish to pull Britain out of the EEC.
The Conservative Party has decided to withdraw from the EPP and in a recent vote Conservative MPs decided that they would like more primacy for British laws over Brussels pronouncements.
It is interesting to note that some of the commentators appear to suggest that David Miliband is attempting to shuffle himself into a more favourable position in readiness for a Gordon Brown Premiership, but look at the vitriol in the other comments following the article!
