Super school debate

"Super school" debate.

South Tyneside Council's Schools Organisation Committee is meeting next week to consider building the new "super school" on Nevison Avenue. The proposal has already met with hundreds of objections, which have become a further stumbling bloc to the plan. Originally schemed for Temple Memorial Park, the much maligned plan was then proposed for the current site of Chuter Ede School in Galsworthy Road, South Shields, this too ran into stiff opposition.

Objectors have been told that they will not be able to speak to the meeting next week, not in a fit of Stalinist repression, but because of sheer numbers. If they were all to try and address the meeting it would last for three days!

I will repeat, just once, the proposal that I have already emailed to the Council and alluded to in this blog - BRINKBURN!
