Hutton report update

We auction football shirts

Cllr. Iain Malcolm, the Deputy Leader of South Tyneside Council, in response to the Cherie Blair article has responded by saying;

"I don't know the full circumstances surrounding this auction so its difficult to comment. However auctioning this type of thing is not wise, and gives the impression of being insensitive. In anycase, in South Shields we always tend to auction signed Sunderland/Newcastle football tops and footballs at our fundraising events!"

They probably raise more money from them as well!

In any case the Prime Minister said at PMQs that Cherie probably did not intend to cause any offence, (so it must be all right then.)

I've written to the PM about this demanding and apology. I recommend that everyone does the same.
