Derby County 1 - 2 Sunderland Irish

The "Keano" effect.

Despite being stuck behind the counter of the Corner Shop all day, I am feeling deliriously happy, the Labour Party is in meltdown, Blair is battling to get the genie back into the bottle, and Sunderland notched a second win in succession!

Other than the pre-season, I am struggling to remember the last time we won two league games on the trot, perhaps some kind soul out there can remind me.

Having looked as though we had blown it again by conceding a goal just before the half time whistle, we then came out and hit back with an equaliser from Chris Brown before Ross Wallace scored a screamer to take the win. Apparently Keane didn't use the "hair dryer" at half time, just told the lads to "keep the faith", and with the backing of almost 4,800 "mackems" roaring the Irish on, they delivered, and with some style.

Oh, well, if we manage to win the next two games, then by this time next Saturday we will be comfortably placed in a play-off position - quite a turn around from being second bottom this morning!
