Boothroyd attacks government arrogance

Betty Boothroyd blasts Blair's "arrogance"

Former Speaker of The House of Commons, Baroness Boothroyd, has attacked the arrogance of Tony Blair's government after nine years in power. The Baroness, the former Labour MP Betty Boothroyd, said the party had enjoyed "far too large a majority", which enabled it to "steamroll" its opponents.

She backed the stance of Sir Alistair Graham, chairman of the Committee on Standards in Public Life, whe he complained that the Prime Minister saw sleaze as a low priority.

Glad to see she only signs pictures of herself, and not official reports into the deaths of public servants!

Right, I've got a match to watch!
